Whose Opinion Matters?

Since you were precious in My sight, you have been honored, and I have loved you. _Isaiah 43:4

“Since you were precious in My sight.”

It’s instinctive, we treat people the way we see them. It is seldom a conscience choice, but instinctively we put a value on people and act accordingly.

Of course, as the old saying goes, beauty (value) is in the eyes of the beholder.

And thankfully, for those who put their trust and their life in the hands of God, in His eyes they are beautiful and counted as precious (valuable).

In this world, to be loved and esteemed as valuable, you have to be beautiful, powerful, wealthy, and famous.  But thankfully, with God, because you are loved you are beautiful and esteemed precious.

Your value is not based on your performance and whether or not you have the resources to keep up with the latest styles and frequent the latest chic places.  No, none of that.

Because you choose to treasure His son – Jesus Christ – and, like a child, trust Him with your life, Father God chooses to treasure you.

The ONE THING for today: We can’t help ourselves. Other people’s opinion us matters to us. But there’s one opinion that matters more than all the other’s: God’s.

Go with His opinion and you will have peace and the courage to hold your head up and face today’s challenges with confidence.

For after all, His opinion is all that really matters.
