Patiently but Wisely Waiting

“People count up the faults of those who are keeping them waiting.” _French proverb

*****

Do not confuse waiting with resignation.

The statement, “I am waiting on God to open a door for me” makes me nervous.

There are too many people resigned to the idea that unless God does something there is no way forward.

But it has been my experience that for most of us, God has already given us more opportunities and resources than most of the people who have existed on this planet could have ever imagined.

Waiting on the right time instead of forcing an issue is wise but resigning yourself to believing that nothing can improve unless God or someone else does something is debilitating and counterproductive.

The ONE THING for today: Passivity is seldom the answer. There is always at least one wise thing you can do right now while you’re waiting.
