Lessons from a Deck of Cards

“The immature character asks life to meet his demands. But the mature character meets the demands of life.” — Integrity: The Courage to Meet the Demands of Reality by Henry Cloud

*****

The ONE THING for today: Everyday you are dealt a new hand of cards. It is your job to do your best with the hand dealt you. The rest is up to God.

Also, staying with the deck of card analogy, there are only so many cards in each hand. Each day you need to lay down yesterday’s cards (successes/failures, bitterness, regrets, etc.)

But, be sure to treasure the delightful moments, and remember the lessons learned.
