This is a picture of petrified wood. It is common in the Dakotas. I found this piece in my yard.
It is hard to believe that I am holding something that was alive millions of years ago.
As I reflected on it…holding incredibly ancient memories in my hand it put the urgencies and emergencies of today in perspective.
They too shall pass…and petrify.
We shall not. Millions of years from now we will be more alive than we can even imagine. And that is a reason for hope.
Let Us Always Be Mindful of His Presence, His Power, His Plan and His Ways.
These are the random ruminations of a man on the run. The goal is to run this race of life well, encouraging as many as I can along the way, and to eventually meet my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and thank Him for the trip. (I am also prone to shamelessly brag on my perfect grandchildren.)
