When perfect agreement is absent

Considering that we live in an imperfect world, it should be no surprise that a big chunk of our time is spent on reaching agreements.

In an imperfect world, any time you attempt to come to an agreement with someone, some sort of compromise will be required.

That is why it is extremely important to determine ahead of time what your nonnegotiables are, no matter what.

To fail to do that is to set yourself up to be compromised.

The ONE THING for today: There’s a world of difference between reaching a compromise and being compromised.
