At my first church, I was a fake.
How could I not be!?
As a kid in his early twenties, what did I know about being a pastor?
But I stepped into the lives of that first little congregation and learned to love them by acting like their pastor and little by little I began to learn my way and eventually earned the right be called “pastor”.
I applaud all you fakers with a dream who step into the unknown, get those new business cards printed, hang out your sign, and “go into business”.
Nothing would ever get done if it took knowing how to do it first.
The ONE THING for today: The old adage, fake it till you make it is not bad advice as long as what you’re faking is a good and worthy thing.
