Remind yourself regularly, “It’s not mine.”
It feels like it is yours. You sense an attachment to it. You use the word “mine” a lot. But at the end of journey, it will all be passed on to someone else.
Grip everything lightly and be keenly aware of who you’re handing things off to. Be ready to give it away at a moment’s notice.
And give it away in better condition than you found it.
