Some of the best advice I’ve ever received was “run in your own lane”.

Staying focused on running in your own lane is chock full of applications. For example:
- Focus on taking care of the things that are your responsibility; what other people do is their responsibility.
- Unhealthy comparisons (comparing your weaknesses against another person’s strength) is…well, unhealthy.
However, staying focused on running in your own lane implies that you are own a track with other lanes, in a race, that is going in a particular direction.
The ONE THING for today: Look around you. If you have a tendency to being running alone or always running in the opposite direction it could mean you are a trailblazer, but it is more likely you are losing the race.
