The question is not, “Can you do better?”
No matter your situation the answer is yes.
Whether you are flipping hamburgers for minimal wages, flipping homes for thousands, or flipping stocks and bonds for millions, and whether you love what you’re doing or hate every minute of what you’re doing, you can and must do better for it is a character issue and also a pathway for improving your situation no matter what it is now.
But that’s not the issue.
The issue is this…are you better than this?
One of the saddest things in life is to see someone settle for less.
We’ve all had to do with less, deal with less, and, for a season, put up with less. But to settle for less!? Why would you do that?
Are you one of the many who need to read this?
You’re better than this. There’s more in you than you’re admitting to (or than others are admitting to). Sure it will take hard work, changing some things (maybe many things), but you’re better than this.
You deserve better than this.
Look at some of those life-draining relationships you’re in. No respect, you’re not valued or celebrated. Some of them need to be jettisoned, you’re better than that. Some need you to draw a line by respecting yourself enough say, “No more trash talk coming at me.”
It’s time to step up and declare that you’re better than this. Look around you, take inventory and begin to improve life an inch at a time.
Soap is cheap and every mom knows that cleanliness is next to godliness. Curb appeal matters and people naturally respond positively to someone who takes pride in their appearance. Clean up, even if it’s just for you. You’re feel better about yourself – and feeling better soon leads to doing better.
Turn the other cheek if it is for Christ’s sake, but don’t be a doormat. Step up your mojo; get your swagger back. Square your shoulders and act like it’s a new day.

Eleanor Roosevelt was right, “No one can make you feel inferior without your consent.” When people put you down and talk trash, you whisper to yourself, “I’m better than that” and keep running for the winner’s circle.
The ONE THING for today: This blog may not be for everybody, but it is for somebody. And I just wanted to tell you: You’re better than that! Time to start acting like it. Little changes can make a big difference…start being better than that…today…right now…no looking back…no going back; it’s a new day.
