All great improvements and movements started with a great idea.
However, great ideas are not enough.
Anyone who has taken a shower has had a great idea.
To be of any worth, great ideas have to be managed well. You can be the one to manage the idea or you can find someone who can do a better job of managing the idea and you manage them.
But either way, great ideas are not like bumper stickers where you spew them on every passer byer, whether they want to hear about it or not, and think you’ve done your part.
If you are not prepared to do the hard work of championing, nurturing, and managing your great ideas or the one you have commissioned to manage your great ideas, better to keep your mouth shut except to pray that there will be someone with enough gumption to get out of the shower, dry off, suit up, and get to work on making the world a better place.
