Many of the readers of this blog are sharp layman and like Nehemiah, who worked in the presence of the king and held an important position, you are successful and influential in your sphere of influence.
But dear friend, that is not enough.

I admonish you to also be like Nehemiah and be greatly concerned for the city and temple of God. No matter how well you are doing and no matter how prosperous you are, the question I am asking you today is, “How well is your church doing and how prosperous is your church?”
There is no other organization and no other person that is fighting for you and your community like your church and your pastor.
Is your church and pastor perfect—absolutely not. But they represent God and He is perfect. There is nothing you can do that more honors God than supporting and caring for your church and pastor. Fight for them, love them, support them, serve them, and promote them. For your church is the hope for your community and your pastor is God’s “boots on the ground” and when they succeed…then you have experienced true success.
- The ONE THING for today: “Success” for you must include success for your church and pastor.
