Many people try to be fortune tellers and don’t even realize it. They make statements like, “No need to try that, it won’t work” or “No need to talk to them, they won’t listen” or “There’s nothing I can do about that.”
Those statements may be true or not true; but even if they are true that doesn’t mean there’s not something else you can do.
Bottom line: do something. Don’t concede your life to circumstances around you.
Doing something and failing is better than doing nothing; at least you learned something.
Even a life sentence of responsibility or disability doesn’t mean your life is over—do something.
