The ONE THING for today

Be still and show you are not God

Psalm 46:10 (NKJV) Be still, and know that I am God…

Be still and show you are not God.

Live this day like the only thing you have to do is be in the presence of God.

Resist the temptation to be stressed over all the stuff you feel like you just have to get down and all the places you just have to go and instead, be still and know God.

Does this mean you have to move to a monastery and vow a vow of silence?  Of course not.

There really are things you have to do today and there really are places you have to go.  But don’t do them and don’t go there until you have quieted yourself long enough to know that you are not God but you know God and you know that when it is all said and done—any achievements and any success you have today will be due to God, not you.

When you have settled that issue then you are ready to take on the world.

You may not be able to go to a literal place like this, but you can create a place like this in your heart and carry it with you wherever you go today.

You may not be able to go to a literal place like this, but you can create a place like this in your heart and carry it with you wherever you go today.

  • The ONE THING for today is: Stop!  Quiet yourself.  Be still, be still and show God that he is more important to you than anything or anyone.  When you create that “God-space” in your heart everything else will fall in place today.

John 16:33 (NKJV)

33 These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”
