Coping – facing directly the draining and debilitating circumstances of your life and dealing with them unto your overcome them.
Do not confuse “coping” with surrendering.
Many people think of coping as grimly bearing up under tough circumstances until it is over or it kills them. That’s not coping, that is slavery.
Coping is not surrendering to the inevitable and trying to survive in spite of it; coping is choosing to do something about your circumstances. Coping is about building a better tomorrow “in spite of”.
This is the privilege God has given you. You always have a choice. Things can and will change if you are willing to begin making one wise choice at a time.
- The ONE THING for today: What is the one wise thing you can do about the draining circumstances of your life? Answer that question and then get to coping.
Psalm 27:3 (NASB)
3 Though a host encamp against me, My heart will not fear; Though war arise against me, In spite of this I shall be confident.
