- Romans 2:7 (NIV) To those who by persistence in doing good seek glory, honor and immortality, he will give eternal life.
It’s boring, it’s often tedious—it’s not sexy and seldom popular; you won’t hear about it on talk shows or the nightly news, but no matter your field and no matter your situation, one trait that is required for all who hope to succeed in life is they must be persistent.
You will find that behind every great story of success persistence was the one trait they all had in common.
Being persistent for persistence sake is not the goal—after all, insufferable bores and irritating nags are persistent. Being persistent at the wrong things is not the goal—that’s called stubbornness. However, there are a few things you know are the right things to do—lock on to them and don’t quit. Be persistent, be steadfast, and be determined.
In the end, if you will dare to do the right thing—especially the right “God-things”, you will never be disappointed and will always ultimately succeed.
