Your best friend has one other best friend…

One thing I have learned over the years is that virtually everyone’s best friend has at least one other best friend.

What I mean by that is that it is almost impossible to share something in confidence without it “leaking”—even if you only share it with your best friend.

For you see, your best friend almost certainly has one other best friend who they share your information with “in confidence” who will then only share it with their other best friend (in confidence of course) who will only share it with…well you get the picture.

There are three life lessons that stand out:

First, don’t share anything you don’t want repeated

Second, identify those rare, rare people who truly do keep confidences and treasure them more than all the gold in the world

Third, be one of those rare, rare people who keep confidences—there’s no better way to be a positive influence and help
