These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off were assured of them, embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.

_Hebrews 11:13

All the contracts, red tape, and legalese in the world will not make some people do right.

All the promises, guarantees, and “gentlemen’s agreements” in the world will not make them do right either.

A prenuptial agreement or a diamond as big as Texas won’t make someone love you and stay married to you.  They either will or they won’t.

Swearing by the Bible or on their mother’s grave will not assure that some people are telling the truth.

Eventually you have to put faith in action…embrace it…and live as if people are going to do right and come through…

And of course they won’t always, and that’s where ultimately you live your life as if there is a God and He cares for you and will work all things together for your good.

The ONE THING: Not all promises will be kept.  Not all plans will work out.  And not all paths will lead to success.  But eventually you have to take a step of faith and get going.  How?  Live your life as if God is still on the throne and governing the affairs of mankind.

The LORD has established His throne in heaven,

And His kingdom rules over all.

Psalms 103:19

  2. People, even believers in Jesus, will disappoint you at times, but we know the One who is always faithful. Therefore we always more forward, knowing before we start, that He ALWAYS works everything our for our good, because we love Him and are called according to HIS purpose.
