Consecrate yourselves therefore, and be holy, for I am the Lord your God. _Leviticus 20:7
New King James Version
“For God’s sake!”
You can hear that exclamation most any day.
I don’t know if people understand it, but they couldn’t be anymore right.
The ONE THING for today: “For God’s sake” …that is always and forever the foremost goal for all we do and say.

These are the random musings of a man whose goal is to make Jesus the paramount pursuit of my life who, while in this effort, is writing down a few lessons I've learned along the way. You'll have to decide if they are worth heeding but at least you may learn a few things not to do.

I agree with you whole-heartedly that “we are to be holy for ‘God’s sake’.” But it wasn’t until I reached the ripe old age of the seventies until I found peace with “being holy in the sight of God”. One day while I was reading Hebrews 10:10, it says, “By that will (“referencing the ‘New Will’ or the ‘New Testament’) we have been sanctified (made holy) through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.” When I accepted Jesus into my life I not only received the complete forgiveness of my sins, I also received His holiness! Therefore, I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus and have also have been made holy in His sight. Hallelujah! As I continue to become more like Jesus, I am becoming more like of what I am: righteous or holy!
