Three Things to be Confident About

Psalm 27:1-3 (NKJV)

1 The Lord is my light and my salvation;
Whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the strength of my life;
Of whom shall I be afraid?
2 When the wicked came against me
To eat up my flesh,
My enemies and foes,
They stumbled and fell.
3 Though an army may encamp against me,
My heart shall not fear;
Though war may rise against me,
In this I will be confident.

For the one who has determined to put their trust in the God of the Bible there are at least three things they can be confident about going forward.

First: God will show you what to do. (The Lord is my light & salvation)

Second: God will give you the strength to do it. (The Lord is the strength of my life)

Third: God’s will and plan for you will be challenged. (When the wicked came against me…)

The ONE THING for today: There’s not much you can really be confident about, but there are at least three. Life will have challenges and difficulties, but when you put your life in God’s hands he will show you what to do to thrive and he will give you the strength and resources to do it!

  1. Great insight into Psalm 27!
    If I may be so bold, I would add a 4th confidence ; eventually the enemy will stumble and fall. It may occur in eternity, but the enemies of our faith ARE going down!!
