First, but not loved

“Now the sons of Jacob were twelve: the sons of Leah were…” _Genesis 35:23

*****

Leah was the first wife.

Leah was listed first, as was proper.

But Leah was never loved like Rachael.

There’s a life lesson there for us all…

Don’t be fooled by all the cheers of the crowd, you can be number one and still not be really loved.

While there is nothing wrong with striving to be the best in your field, in all your striving don’t leave behind those who love you whether you’re at the front of the pack or in the back.

The ONE THING for today: You can love being number one, but that doesn’t mean you’re loved.
