Shutting mouths!

As much as we may decry the abuses of the “conservative” or “liberal” press.

And as much as we may despise “fake news”…

I find it instructive that in the current invasion of Ukraine by Russia, one of the first things the Russian government did was to clamp down on the free press and social media.

Soon after, the Russian legislative body established a new law that made it illegal for its citizens to protest the war (with severe penalties).

The ONE THING for today: Whether it is a nation, a denomination, a company, a family, or among friends…we should be very wary of people who want to stop the mouths of dissent.  Afterall, we most often learn more from our enemies and critics than we do from our loving and kind family and friends who do not want to hurt us–even with the truth.
