…who, being past feeling… (Ephesians 4:19)
Some people deny and ignore their feelings, fearful that their feelings will lead them down the wrong path.
I get it.
If you wait until you feel like doing some things they will never get done, and if you actually do some of the things you feel like doing you will probably go to jail!
But there’s another option.
Instead of being controlled by your feelings, be informed by your feelings.
One of the best things you can do is answer the question: Why do I feel this way?
Usually you feel the way you do for a good reason. It may not be the right reason, but it is still telling you something, and dealing with that something is often the bridge that leads you out of a mess into a better place.
So, bottom line, your feelings are your friends. You do not have to be led by them, but you should at least listen to them. Like “dashboard indicators”, they are alerting you of current conditions within you. It is your job to discover why.

The ONE THING for today: One of the most important questions you can ask yourself is, “Why do I feel this way?”

Excellent insight!!! I’m feeling it! 🙂 Claudia
