John 13:3 (NKJV) Jesus, knowing that the Father had given all things into His hands…
____________
Just think, Jesus knew that all things had been put into his hands. That is an amazing statement if your think about it.
I think I can say with authority that all things have not been put into your hands (or mine), but…
Most certainly, something has been put into your hands. Start there.
Don’t allow what you’d like to have or used to have to distract you from what you do have.
And worse yet, don’t allow what others have to distract you.
We don’t all arrive at God’s planned destination for us at the same time and we don’t all get there the same way. But rest assured, God has given you what you need right now to achieve what He has planned for your life.
If there is going to be any advancement and improvement in your life it will come from managing well what has already been put into your hands.
Hoping that things will get better, waiting until things get better (and then you’ll work hard), comparing yourself against others, beating yourself up for missed opportunities or for failing—all these are recipes for heartbreak and failure.
The ONE THING for today: Today’s Monday, a new week and a great time to start anew. Start where you are with what you’ve got. Success starts right there!
