As an eternal being, no wonder you sometimes find yourself restless, dissatisfied, and disillusioned.
It’s no wonder!
As an eternal being the vast eternal expanse of time is before you…so much to see and so much to do.
No wonder you sometimes grow weary playing the little games of this life and mumble to yourself, “Is this all there is?”
But truthfully, the question I want to leave with you today is:
“Are you restless enough?”
Discontent must be guided and harnessed.
Like a fruitful grape vine that snakes its way up a trellis, you must train and prune your restlessness heavenward or it will grow towards the path of least resistance and you will be stressing over glitter when you could have had the stars.
The ONE THING for today:
I wonder if the goal of life is to develop such a dissatisfaction with this temporal and passing life and foster such a longing for the transcendent and infinite that you reach the point where you’re just dying to go to heaven and… you do.
