If I Could Make that Decision Again

There’s a world of difference between…

If I could make that decision again” and “When I make that decision again.”

The burden of “If” is just too heavy to bear.

  • Eventually, it is to late to have a happy childhood; cut your losses, forgive and have a happy now.
  • There’s a short window of opportunity for being a great parent to your children when they’re young.  Maybe you blew it; done’s done; time to answer the question, “What does being a good parent to adult children look like?
  • The grave is final, at least in this life.  It allows no unsaying, undoing, or do-overs.  Why are you living in the tombs, breath deeply, get the sun in your face and look for the living.
  • Fired is fired; bankrupted is bankrupted, divorced is divorced, blown it is blown it, foot in your mouth is foot in your mouth, broken is broken…

You get the picture.

However…

…if you can realistically say, “When I make that decision again” that is where opportunity awaits.

The ONE THING for today: We all blow it.  Regret is a common malady of all humans.  What to do?  Reflect, learn, and prepare.  One way or the other, there’s always another choice.  And when that next time comes, you’ll be better prepared.
