"I feel…"

There’s a lot of chatter out there right now. And sadly, much of what is being expressed is our raw emotions and fear.

Alert!

Beware of conversations fueled by feelings.

We are all “feeling” emotions that make us uncomfortable and even fearful. However, there is a better way than stumbling through the darkness trying to feel our way.

Let’s turn on the light by thinking!

The next time you find yourself in a conversation fueled by fear, ask, “Why do you think that?”

(Note: Not “What do you think?” but Why do you think that?)

There will probably be an awkward moment of silence…

For the truth is, when we’re being driven by our feelings and emotions, we’re not thinking (at least deeply).

Feelings and emotions are legitimate and very real. And a good friend will often lend a sympathetic ear. But that doesn’t mean you have to allow their feelings and emotions to rule their lives or yours. Be a good friend and ask…

…”Why do you think that?”

The ONE THING for today: Feelings are real, but if they are not grounded in truth and sound reasoning, you are not obliged to jump on board with them.
