Yesterday I reminded us to strive to be a part of something that is so big and so important that it will not be completed until long after we have departed this life.
However, there is something to be said about finishing today.
Hopefully, what you are doing is important, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t set limits. In the end, being consumed with good things and even great and eternal things, will still mean you were consumed.
Pace yourself. Live big (by all means), but live well also.
Surely there is someone waiting for you today. It’s okay to log-off, sign-out, and lay the tools of your trade down and walk out.
The ONE THING for today: The great thing about being a part of something eternal is that it will be there tomorrow. That’s why it is okay to finish today with enough time to enjoy the here and now.
