I know it is a little early in the year to be thinking of Christmas, but on this Sunday, I couldn’t help but think of:
Simeon, who was just and devout, waiting for the Consolation of Israel (Luke 2:25-35)…
And, Anna, a prophetess, who was of great age and who did not depart from the temple, but served God with fastings and prayers night and day. (Luke 2:36-38)
They were the ones who greeted Jesus on his first visit to the temple and remain, forever, a part of the Christmas story.
The bible declares that Jesus will come again.
The ONE THING for today: As Simeon and Anna, do not grow weary in waiting for our Lord’s return and be sure to wait for him at his Father’s house. #AttendChurch
