Christmas takes a long time

1 Peter 1:20 (The Voice)
God determined to send Him before the world began, but He came into the world in these last days for your sake.

For a child, the arrival of Christmas is torturously slow. Actually, they are right—it took almost forever for Christmas to arrive…but it did. Just at the right and in the right place.

  • The ONE THING for today: Let the impending arrival of Christmas ’17 be a reminder that God’s promises and plans for you will happen…eventually. In the meantime, while you are waiting for your promises, enjoy the Christmas music and use your season of waiting to put a few gifts under the tree for someone else.

Galatians 4:4-5 (GOD’S WORD Translation)
4 But when the right time came, God sent his Son into the world. A woman gave birth to him, and he came under the control of the laws given to Moses.

5 God sent him to pay for the freedom of those who were controlled by these laws so that we would be adopted as his children.
