A bag of gold

Matthew 25:15 (NIV)
To one he gave five bags of gold, to another two bags, and to another one bag, each according to his ability. Then he went on his journey.

If you really believe that God is sovereign then what you’re saying is that He has control over every aspect of your life and your life’s work.

What you’re saying is that ultimately, you and your life’s work is not and cannot be held hostage by any man-made or devil-made system or decision.moneybag13

What you’re saying is, “My current situation is a bag of gold that God has given me.”

I challenge you to believe that and act on it. No more complaining, no more looking at all that’s wrong, no more poverty mindset or poor little ole me mindset.

Take the bag of gold that God has given you and figure how to give him more in return. Take action. Work with what you’ve got. Leverage the position, the experience, the relationships, and the potential you have now to make things better.

Change your walk, your talk, and your expectation.

Anybody can complain. Anybody can find fault.  Anybody can wait around until their ship comes in.  But only those who are willing to trust the goodness of God will see the gold of God and dare to put that gold to work.

Others may have more—more talent, more resources, more opportunity, more everything—but nobody should outwork, out-pray, out-believe, and out-dream you.

  • The ONE THING for today: God’s entrusted you with a bag of gold—proof Him right.

Borrow money from pessimists – they don’t expect it back.

  1. Oh my! David,My little bag of gold has grown some green stuff on it because of just sitting around doing nothing! Well, I threw some bread on the water and I’m looking for a return now to see how far it went or is going! I sent one of my best poems to a paper and they are going to use it, so although there may not be any money involved for me, it may work nicely for the publisher.
