Are you satisfied with your life?

fulfillment-meterI’ll try to break this to you as gently as possible: If your life is going to change then you are going to have to change.

If your strategy for improving your life depends on someone else changing, then forget it. They may change; they may not, and even if they do, if you don’t change and adapt, it will do you little good.

The answer for improving your life and circumstances is not out there, it’s looking back at you in the mirror. For your life to improve something and someone has got to change and that someone is you and that something is something you must start doing and/or stop doing.

Stop waiting for someone else to change before you start changing.UnhappyEmployees

Stop wait until that person who has hurt, betrayed, and offended you asks for forgiveness; forgive them whether they ask for it or not, and move on. Let it go; stop focusing on the hurt and start focusing on the next hurdle toward your dream.

Stop wait for someone to recognize your talents and abilities and promote you and give you a pay raise before you up your game; start being a stakeholder today.

Bottom line, if you are not satisfied with how your life is right now, the answer is not waiting on someone else to change or hoping that somehow the winds of fortune will shift and mystically things will begin working out.

The answer is not even hoping that God will work a miracle. Remember, God seldom does anything unless we first take a step of faith and give him something to work with.

The answer, dear friend, if you are not satisfied with your life is for you—yes you to change something you are doing. It doesn’t have to be something big and it doesn’t have to be the whole ball of wax. A journey of a thousand miles begins with taking that first step in the right direction.

  • The ONE THING for today: What are you going to change about you today…starting right now, this moment? It’s time.
