Saying Good-bye

It’s been a precious few days.

Over the last couple weeks I’ve had both of my children and their families under my roof and in my life.  There was a time that this was a weekly and sometimes daily occurrence, but no more.  The silver lining is that rarity makes things more valuable and precious.  Thus, these last two weeks have been most precious to me.

Yesterday as the last of my grandchildren and their mother drove away for the last time (at least for this season) I was reminded:

  • The ONE THING for today: Life is about learning to say good-bye.  Handle this well and you live well; handle it wrong and you will live in a land of sorrow.

________

John 14:2-3 (NKJV)

2 I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.
