I’ll never get over sharing the journey with my sister as she walked the road of cancer and finally succumbed to that terrible disease when God called her home on June 10, 2008.  I remember thinking at her funeral service, “So this is how grief feels.”

Of course, I had experienced grief before with the loss of grandparents and friends and had ministered faithfully to parishioners for many years as they went through times of grief.  However, it was only until I went through the dark valley of cancer…
