What is even more amazing than Jesus humbling himself to wash the disciple’s feet is that he washed the feet of Judas Iscariot knowing that it would not change the outcome.
The dastardly deed of betraying our Lord was as good as done—it was in Judas’ heart, but Jesus still washed his feet.
Sometimes you do things simply because it is the right thing to do.
It may make no apparent difference.
No one may applaud and affirm you.
Matter of fact, you may be second guessed, criticized, and misunderstood.
But you do it anyway.
You do it because it’s the right thing to do.
You do it because of who (and whose) you are.
