Lessons at the Bush: A Lesson on Running

burning-bush-framedExodus 3:4 (NKJV)

So when the Lord saw that he turned aside to look, God called to him from the midst of the bush and said, “Moses, Moses!”

And he said, “Here I am.”

There comes a time when you gotta stop running; when you gotta stop trying to make things happen without God.

To his credit, Moses was a take-charge kind of guy—even to the point of murdering someone who got in the way!

However, before Moses could get a “God-win” (the only kind that really matters), he had to stop running and fess-up. Before he could hear God say, “I AM That I AM” Moses had to say “Here I am.”

  • The ONE THING for today: Dear friend, whether you are running from something or trying to run for something, today is the day you must stop and acknowledge that without God you can do nothing.

12 that at that time you were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world. (Ephesians 2:12, NKJV)

26 But Jesus looked at them and said to them, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” (Matthew 19:26, NKJV)
