Matthew 7:13-14 (NKJV)
13 “Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. 14 Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.
Never forget that you will be (or should be) out of step with virtually everyone you meet today. Jesus was clear on this. He stated that most people will live their lives in such a way that it leads to destruction; only a few people will make the difficult life-giving decisions that are required. You must be one of those people. You must be one of those rare “voices crying in the wilderness.”
This is never more evident than at Christmas time.
Remember, if Jesus was correct (and he was), the way America celebrates Christmas is wrong. You can blindly follow the crowd or you can choose the path that leads to life.
Wisdom will be required, especially if you have family for they may be so indoctrinated by the destructive broad way of celebrating Christmas that they will have trouble understanding that you are trying to lead them through the narrow gate that leads to life.
- The ONE THING for today: Be prepared; as we approach the end of all things our world will continue to grow increasingly dark morally and spiritually. However, that will make the light only shine brighter and that is never truer than at Christmas.
Matthew 24:37 (NKJV) But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.
Genesis 6:5 (NKJV) Then the Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
John 3:19 (NKJV) And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
