To do something or not to do something

  • Whether you do nothing or whether you do something you will upset someone.
  • Nothing improves by itself—do something.
  • Where possible, keep those affected by the change in the loop as to why you are doing something; if that fails, do something anyway.
  • When you do something and it fails—take responsibility for the failure; when it works, give the credit to others; it will make it easier for you to do something else.
  • Something else always needs to be done.
