“We had more captains of ships than captains of war.” _Winston S. Churchill
Cruise ships are all about you—your pleasure, desires, and entertainment; warships are about protecting the people back home.
If you’re not involved in something that if you fail people will suffer loss then you are not really living for others, you’re just cruising.
The problem with many people is they have stopped (or never have been) being warriors.
They are no longer fighting for something (someone) that matters.
They are involved in no life or death struggles.
Life has become about their comfort not that which is sacred and vital. Life has become about the quality of the trip not the destination.
Give them smooth sailing even it means skirting around the war.
The tragedy is that the war is still waging and while they’re on that cruise ship, people back home are in danger.
- The ONE THING for today: Be a warrior about something that matters.
12 Be strong, and let us fight bravely for our people and the cities of our God. The Lord will do what is good in his sight.
2 Samuel 10:12 (NIV)
