- Genesis 22:4 (NKJV) Then on the third day Abraham lifted his eyes and saw the place afar off.
Unless today is the last day of your life (and odds are it is not), then you must not over emphasize the importance of this day. It matters—it matters a lot, but not enough to allow it to rob you of the hope of a better tomorrow.
God has you on a journey; he has bigger fish for you to fry than the minnows that are nipping at you today. Lift up your eyes—dream a little, remind yourself that it will not always be like this; the God-that-provides (Genesis 22:14) is already ahead of you and has provisions and possibilities waiting on you (as far as the mind’s eye can see).
- The ONE THING for today: Today…it is important but not so important that you should lose sight of your better tomorrow.
Jeremiah 29:11 (NKJV)
11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.
