The ONE THING for today

I hate waiting

  • Psalm 27:14New King James Version (NKJV) Wait on the Lord; be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart; wait, I say, on the Lord!

I have yet to meet a child that enjoyed waiting for Christmas.

I have yet to meet a person that looked forward to waiting in long lines.

Waiting for water to boil, cakes to bake, coffee to brew, CDs to mature–none of these bring pleasure.

Why would it be any different as we wait on God?

Waiting is not a passive activity.  It requires courage, faith, patience, determination, and commitment.  Bottom line: strenuous effort.

The ONE THING for today: Don’t grow weary in waiting on God–it will be worth the wait and the effort.
