- Ephesians 5:1 (AMP) Therefore be imitators of God [copy Him and follow His example], as well-beloved children [imitate their father].
If you’ve determined that God is going to be your hero (follow this link) then dear friend you’ve got some mighty big shoes to fill.
But remember this–you are trying to fill your Father God’s shoes. Just as a little child will try to walk in their parent’s shoes, as a well-beloved child of God you are doing the same.
You will never be able to fill God’s shoes the way He does—that’s not the goal. The goal is to want to be like “daddy”.
Loving grace abounds for the well-beloved child of Father God who wants to be like their daddy.
Be of good courage, perfection is not the goal—the goal is growth and maturity.
Keep stumbling forward; you’re looking more like your Father every day.
