- Exodus 14:15 (NKJV) And the Lord said to Moses, “Why do you cry to Me? Tell the children of Israel to go forward.
The one thing you must not do today is carry the weight of regret. First of all, there is absolutely nothing you can do to undo yesterday—it’s done; and second of all…
To focus on the regrets of yesterday is akin to operating like the Federal Government—borrowing from the future to finance today. Yet it’s worse, you’re borrowing from the future to finance—not today, but the past! (How crazy is that?)
Don’t do that. Do not allow your motivation for living today to be guilt based on regrets of poor choices and missed opportunities from your yesterdays. Sure, we’d all do things differently if we knew then what we know now, but we didn’t—so let’s move on.
Take a short pause today and reflect on how much better your life could be going forward; let that be your motivation for what you do today.
Sure, learn from your past, but move past it into a better and brighter future.
