- 2 Peter 3:8 (NKJV) But, beloved, do not forget this one thing, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
Now is not forever.

On one occasion Albert Einstein, famous for his theory of relativity, was asked to explain what relativity was. He responded, “When a man sits with a pretty girl for an hour, it seems like a minute. But let him sit on a hot stove for a minute and it seems like an hour. That’s relativity.”
For me, an hour sitting in a dentist’s chair can seem like a lifetime and an hour with one of my grandchildren can seem like a minute. But the truth is: now is not forever.
Savor—deeply those precious moments; endure faithfully the tough ones…now is not forever.

What a powerful statement and thought to ponder. Now is not forever.
