He Left You in Charge

“For the kingdom of heaven is like a man traveling to a far country, who called his own servants and delivered his goods to them. …and immediately he went on a journey.”

Matthew 25:14-15, (NKJV)

It seems that many people today have bought into the idea that they are victims. They are in the condition they’re in because of someone else or some force or influence beyond them. The benefit (without solving a thing) is that they do not have to be responsible.

Who’s to say.

But this I know, if you hope to be a part of God’s Kingdom plan for your life and for the world around you then that can’t be you.

The King left you in charge.

You’re…get ready for it…responsible.  He’s put things in your hands and under your care.

Yes I know it gets hard sometimes.  Life can be overwhelming, and there are many things going on that are indeed beyond your control.  But nevertheless, you’re in charge.  By God’s grace you’ll figure something out.  I know this because the King put you in charge and He knows what He is doing.  You can do this.

So, cheer up, get up, put your game face on, and get going. Give it your best.  God will take care of the rest.

The ONE THING for today: You’re not in charge of everything, you may not be in charge of many things, but you’re in charge of something.  Take what God has put in your hands and make the world a better place.
