Hope for your most grievous moment

Arise, go to Zarephath, which belongs to Sidon, and dwell there. See, I have commanded a widow there to provide for you. _1 Kings 17:9 (NKJV)

The critical component for being a widow is having your husband die. 

I’m pretty sure that on her first full day of widowhood that brand new widow never dreamed that God was using that grievous moment to set her up for the most amazing season of service she could have imagined and to also save the life of she and her husband’s son. 

The ONE THING for today: Father God, give us the grace to trust You, even with our most grievous moments and challenging times.
