Then the word of the LORD came to him, saying… (1 Kings 17:8)
Father God, I am thankful that You speak more than once.
When things dry up. When options run out. When direction is unclear. Even when I fail and disappoint and yes, as hard as it is to admit…even when I sin…at all these points and places, then You speak again.
The ONE THING for today: Thank you Father God, for your forever patience and longsuffering. I pray for your continued guidance and the wisdom and discernment to hear your still small voice and the courage to obey.

The ONE THING 
With all the stumbles, falls, failures, and yes sin in my life over 72 years worth, I must have accumulated 7 or 8 earned PHDs in starting over. Praise the Lord, our God and Savior is one who provides multiple opportunities for redeeming failure and loss. He is a good God and a wonderful Savior.

Amen! I’ve got a few of those “PHDs” in starting over too! As I heard someone say, “Thank God, for God!”
