Good Friday, April 7, 2023 | 27 Days

Judas was not exceptional. Jesus had said that it is impossible to serve God and money. Judas chose money. Many others have done the same.

A serious reflection of Good Friday has to include Judas Iscariot. I don’t enjoy it and I don’t really want to do it…but Judas Iscariot – the traitor, the betrayer – is closely connected to Good Friday.

In the end it all came down to money.

It is proverbial, “Follow the money trail and you will get to the root of the matter.”

That is certainly true when it comes to the Cross of Jesus Christ. Jesus sums it up perfectly: “where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” Luke 12:34

The ONE THING for today: Away with the excuses and complaints of other’s abuses. Eventually each of us must, for ourself, place a value on what Jesus did at Calvary. Follow the money trail of your life and you will get your answer.
