“Have a mandatory holding pattern. Before you buy something, stop. Add it to a list and let it sit for three days. Then revisit the list. It’s amazing how something you absolutely had to have holds almost no interest after three days.” _Carl Richards, The Behavior Gap: Simple Ways to Stop Doing Dumb Things with Money

Be careful less you put to much importance on today.
Contrary to proverbial wisdom, today is not all you’ve got. In this realm or another one, you have an endless duration of tomorrows. There are only a very few things that you really must absolutely beyond a shadow of doubt do today. Focus on those few things, do them as well as possible, and as quick as possible.
As far as the rest of the stuff vying for your time and attention, put as must as possible on tomorrow’s To-do list and then enjoy the rest of your day.
And like using shampoo…
Tomorrow, rinse and repeat.
The ONE THING for today:
There is almost nothing you absolutely must do today.
