I Have To…Get Out of This Traffic Jam!

“There is no one greater in this house than I, nor has he kept back anything from me but you, because you are his wife. How then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?” _Joseph, to Potiphar’s wife

Do you really, really, really have to?

If we are honest, most of what we have to do is really a “I want to” or a “I’m to lazy or fearful or comfortable to do something else.”

In the same way, I suspect that many of our “I can’t”s are really “I don’t want to”s.

“Have to”s are rare and usually grounded in a strong moral conviction.

The bad news is that a strong morality is frowned on in a society that values individual freedom and tolerance above all else.

Unfortunately, when everything and anything goes, life is reduced to one big traffic jam.

How do you move forward in a society like that?

The ONE THING for today: There are very few things you really and truly have to do. Taking the time to clarify what they are and relentlessly doing them as if your very soul depended on it is the pathway to true and lasting success.
