Suddenly praying doesn’t seem like a bad idea.
But if you are like many people I talk to, praying (really praying) is not something you feel you’re good at.
I get it.
Please keep my little secret, but honestly, if praying is about talking to God for a long period of time, then I’m not good at it either. Whether it’s talking to my wife, a friend, or God, most times I just don’t have a lot to say.
If you’re like me, I think I can help you.
I learned how to pray from none other than Jesus. (How’s that for a good reference!)
Thankfully Jesus took people like me into consideration and used the “K.I.S.S.” method (Keep It Simple…I’m being kind here…”Sweetheart”.
He gave us a wonderful, succinct prayer that pretty much covers everything. It’s appropriate at anytime, anyplace, and for anything. It’s called the “Lord’s Prayer” or “The Our Father”.
I start every morning with this prayer (most times even before I get out of bed).
I pray it (usually silently) before and during meetings, when traveling, during conversations, when I’m worried, afraid, frustrated and overwhelmed.
All to say, I pray it a lot!
Maybe you can relate. Life has thrown us a pretty wicked curve this time and there’s not a lot we can do about. But we can pray.
And one other thing…
Maybe you don’t really consider yourself a person of faith. That’s okay too. Pray the Lord’s Prayer for the rest of us. We need it and you could use the practice! Who knows, if may do you and us all good, and it sure won’t hurt.
The ONE THING for today: (See below)

Thank you ever so!!! Blessings, Claudia
